Bill Russell. 5 MVP's and 11 championship rings.

The only reason Jordan was able to surpass Wilt's scoring average was because Wilt's coaches wanted him to play a different playing style. From heavy scoring and rebounding to moderate scoring and more assists and still heavy rebounding and finally to a low scoring Russell-type player focusing on defense and rebounds (just because i didnt mention it in the first two instances doesnt mean that Wilt doesnt do defense, he's probably the 2nd best post-defender in the League during the decade that he and Russell played together).

Also, Bill Russell is not a seven footer but there are seven footers in the League back then and Wilt came into the NBA 3 years after Russell became a Celtic.

wilt chamberlain only did that 100 points because he's the only 7 footer in that era until bill russel came.

kobe's 81 points was amazing but this era has 3 point area.

JORDAN's game winning shots, incredible plays and bringing Chicago to championship is an excitement.
That's why Michael Jordan is the best basketball player of all time.

MJ, because of how dominant he was on both ends of the court, and yet somehow stepped it up even more when it counted most in the playoffs and finals. true, wilt had the 100 point game, but MJ still averaged more points per game than wilt did for his career. some people are clutch and win championships, some people have historical performances that people remember forever, some people have amazing seasons, but nobody did all of these things like MJ did, and for so long.
