Three years ago, I purchased furniture at Levitz, and don't owe payments until March 2008. Since they're going bankrupt, does that mean I don't have to pay for my furniture?

Yes, I used to work for levitz. You were financed by USBC bank not levitz . So you will still be owing the bank.

You still have to pay for the furniture. Your purchase was most likely financed through a financing company, not the store. You can find this information on the credit application.

nope... you still must pay... someone is going to take over the money aspect of levitz and i'm sure there will be someone to pay... besides, bhe bankruptcy thing may just be a rumor anyway...

No, someone will buy their assets if they were to close. A lot of companies that file bankruptcy don't close.
