Go for it man. Sit around the family hookah and see what all the fuss is about.

Stop with the thumbs down you queens. =P

Once you find out it's no big deal you'll probably just say forget it, but you won't know that until you try... is basically all I'm saying.

Though it is not as bad as many in the "just say no" crowd might have you believe, there are noteworthy drawbacks:

Most good jobs require a urinalsis for employment. Most of those have a zero tolerence policy.

Something that doesn't get as much press as it should, is that pot is a de-motivator. When high, one gets the feeling that doing anything important is a waste when one could be taking advantage of the high by doing things that are fun.

don't do it, it messes up your brain. I have a friend who smokes pot and she is not the same person she used to be. she's not as smart and all she thinks about is getting stoned. Don't smoke pot, it can lead to other drugs that are way worse.

No, it isn't worth it. Many people say it's not a big deal, but it is a big deal. It's illegal. It's harmful.
Yes, you should be bothered that your family smokes pot.

It makes you relaxed to the point of not caring if you smoke enough, the whole "takes the edge off" theory is fine if you can limit your intake. I used to smoke it and it would make me laugh my a*s off, eat a ding dong or seven and then I would fall asleep no matter where I was. I didn't like the affect it had on me.

i wouldn't start, i used to smoke but haven't for 25 yrs or so. i know my daughter does (she's 27) and she has a hard time trying NOT to. i know they say its not addicting but i think you can get in the habit... it mostly made me tired and gave me the munchies. made me sort of nervous, too. fogged up the brain. i found out i enjoy being straight a lot more.

I'll bet you'll try it, think it's okay, no big deal. But don't overdo it.
People will tell you it's not addictive, just "habit-forming." Don't be fooled--that's not different. It took me twelve years to quit. It eats your mind, your money and your motivation.

It can be seductive like it offers something to make your life richer, really it leads to a dead end. Find your own creativity as it much more rewarding.

I never have. Stay strong man. Don't do it. I have friends that can't get certain jobs right now because they got busted for having just traces on them. Not worth it.
