Ok so I snowboard at mountain creek in new jersey. Its my first time. Theres the bunny slope lol and then the other mountains. The other mountains are all a lot higher but the problem is this. I dont know if I am just scared and am exagerating what will happen to me, if Im afriad of heights or if im just not experianced yet. Should I go a few more times and get my stops balance and turns good? Or am I ready and I am just to scarred and I am making it worse than it already is?

You only ever do one turn at a time, regardless of how high the mountain is.

As long as you are reasonably comfortable with getting down the bunny hill and can link turns and stop with confidence then you can take it onto the bigger mountain. In most cases the easy green trails are just like the bunny hill and have the same steepnoess so they aren't any harder, only longer.

At Mountain Creek you should probably start with traill off of the Sugar Quad then if you're comfortable take a run down upper and lower horizon. Just take your time and work your way down. You can't fall off of the mountain or anything so there's nothing to worry about.

Mountain Creek is just icy, nothing too bad. The less traveled areas aren't that bad though. But if you're going on greens and blues, then you'll be in for some icy riding. Surprisingly, not many people attempt the blacks which aren't as hard as it may seem. It's just your lack of experience that's scaring you.

Well, when it was my first time, I went o shawnee, and got lessons, they kinda helped, but didnt help that much. And don't sweat it, you'll find that snowboarding is so fun when you get the hang of it. Get some friends to be with you, it will calm your fears. Just think positive, think that you are gonna be the best on the mountain and show off your awesome skills, lol. Just start on the green circles, the easiest ones.

good luck, remember think positive

make sure you can at least leaf(heelside back and forth, like a leaf falling) on the bunny hill befire you try the big slopes. cuz you dont wanna die. but other than that, as long as you can control yourself then you should be fine.

just take it slow. good luck.

New Jersey has no real mountains, so don't worry about it. They are just icy hills.
