Or anything similar, like sat in a desert reflecting on the state of being?

Did you have an epiphany or did you just suffer exposure?

Yes, I have. In a quiet room. I have experienced epiphany more than once. It is a powerful sensation. The impact of a realization on that scale is not something that you forget. Being fairly young at the time, It actually frightened me with how much it impacted my thinking. Since then I have had others, and each has been fundamentally life changing. It may just be a case of perspective, and my awareness of it. But I hope that I will have the chance to experience it again.

Oddly enough, pelting rain does make me more reflective. But, my epiphany was when I went abseiling with the school and got my foot stuck in a crevice. Hanging there for two hours gave me some thinking time.

I've walked in that kind of weather and taken stock, hehe I think epiphanies may be dependent on some sort of exposure! I've had both, usually simultaneously.

Darn, if ever I need an epiphany, it better come while I am comfortably sitting by a nice fireplace, nursing a mug of hot chocolate, and nibbling on some f biscotti on a plate nearby.

What for?we don't have to be in a painful state or a dis comfortable condition to think about such an important issue. If it's what we expect from life, then it's OK.Otherwise, for all good things to happen, the ambiance should be matching.I don't believe in self inflicted pains and then in blame game and prayers.

I've reflected on my life a number of times, but I had sense enough to get out of the rain.... and the sun.

yes this is the perfect time to take stock....sadly it's rarely good news and make you want to end it all...no epiphanies unfortunately...only exposure and no solid plans as yet

Not in the rain.
On a foreign bed.
Right after losing my virginity to a boy I hardly knew.
That was a hard night.

I don't know,
