Normal? Well it happens if you drink yourself into oblivion. Normal people don't do that, though. I think if, as an adult, you start wetting yourself you should seriously think about your drinking. Maybe I sound harsh, sorry. When I did that it kinda told me I had a problem.

It is for some. I was married to an alcoholic long ago, he would get so drunk and pass out, if he did wake up to pee often it would be in his boots or a dresser drawer and the final straw was when he peed the bed while i was still in it and he was still asleep in his stupor. He sat up in bed, peed himself and layed back down without ever knowing he did it. I filed for a divorce the next day as i had lived with his problem for 7 yrs and he would not stay straight. If you are doing this you have a problem to address and stop the drinking. I got stone drunk a few times as a teen and young lady , I passed out too but never wet the bed. After a few wild years booze wasn't fun any more so I quit. It just made me sleepy and want to go home. Also a sober person can't stand being around someone who is stupid drunk. You have no idea what an *** you make out of yourself in that condition unless you are with a group that is in as bad a shape as you, then no one notices.

i think that 'sunny' dude should lighten up.
i'm a senior in college and this has happened to me several times. unfortunately, heavy drinking is part of life in college.
i'm currently studying abroad for the semester in scotland, and the drinking is 100 times worse here. it is NOTHING in the USA compared to what it is here.
anyway, yeah. pissing the bed when you're passed out drunk is normal. i know several people who have done it, too. it only happens to me if all i had the night before was beer, so it might also be what you're drinking.
and no, you don't have to drink THAT much for it to happen. these people are saying that you have to drink almost enough to have alcohol poisoning...no no no. i've had friends go to the ER with alcohol poisoning. the nights that i've pissed myself because i drank too much, i wasn't even THAT drunk. i drink less than most of my friends do, and i'm always in control. but if i only drink beer all night, i end up pissing the bed. it's just how my body reacts. everyone is different.

Lol...don't feel bad...I can admit that it's happened to me before...you just drank a little too much, didn't pee before you passed out, and were sleeping so hard that your muscles relaxed, and, well, you know the rest. I always make sure that I pee before I go to sleep, especially when I've been drinking!
Wow, I can't believe that so many who answered your question took it upon themselves to judge your drinking habits! I mean, I don't condone guzzling alcohol at all, but what may be a lot of alcohol for one person may not be for another. She didn't say how many drinks she had, just that she had a little too much. Lay off of her. Geez.

Well, even though you may not drink in large amounts everyday, this sounds like either the beginning or (hopefully) the end of a nasty habit. Being so inebriated that you urinate on yourself is dangerous. Other than the embarrassment of peeing on yourself, you could also die. At the level you drank there is a huge risk for alcohol poisoning. This is deadly. If you don't die you could end up with severe brain damage. Act better in the future.

Peeing is a natural reaction to being severely depressed (alcohol wise). Everyone is different. One person it is 6 beers, the other 14 shots. I'm on the other end. Why do people think its weird if you black out not to know where the toilet is, or your bed, or your house, or your new girlfriend or boyfriend? lol.

Wow. You must have had a LOT to drink. It's nothing to worry about though. I was on an airplane from Texas to London, England and the woman sitting in front of me was terrified of flying so she kept buying the little bottles of wine or whatever you can get on airplanes and got so drunk she wet herself.

Not sure if it's too normal, but I don't think you should worry about that. I think, however, that if you're so drunk you don't wake up to pee, you should worry about your drinking, which could be a problem, or at least on its way to becoming one. Check with those 12 step program folks about that.
