Good Zoology Schools??

Question

I know many schools have zoology majors, but are there any that shine above the others?

If you are looking to major in just zoology instead of going for something specific like ornothology, entomology, marine biology, etc... it really does not matter. Most colleges tend to have about the same course study.

I will however suggest that since you are looking at a natural science look at smaller universities. As you get further into the program a great deal of it tends to be hands on and in larger schools it makes it much harder to do that.

I majored in Natural Resources in college and went to two different Universities in my state. A HUGE state college and a smaller one. Due to the smaller class size I learned more in one quarter at the small college than I did in an entire year at the large one.

Check out North Carolina State University in Raleigh. I went there and they have a very large zoology department.
They'll even let you specialize in some areas if you wish....including Wildlife Biology, Fishery Science, Pre-Vet, Ecology and so forth.

I recommend SUNY ESF. I wish I'd known about it earlier and gone there as an undergrad.
It's unique in that it's not just "book learning" and lectures... science/zoology there involves actual field trips out to the environments and organisms you're learning about!

Technically it isn't any longer important what important you had in college; you probable can prepare and get into professional classes like medical college and vet college. a pal of mine majored in Theology/Comparative Religions in college after which went to medical college. So helpful, that's possible. and you sound such as you have already have been given a leg up alongside with your interest in those kinds of technological expertise - and your important, which suits to be extremely smart. :) want this helped.
