Try handwashing it. Soak it in soapy water for several minutes. What happened was the colors bled. The yellow into the blue, the blue into the yellow. So this excess color is sitting where it shouldn't be. If the first wash doesn't do it, you could try soaking it overnight. Eventually, the excess color should wash away.

well...I hope you can save it (I am not really sure how you could, personally)...but if not, if you do go buy another one then make sure the first time you wash it, you wash it with at least a quarter cup of vinegar and cold water. That helps set the dye and the colors shouldn't ever bleed again. I encourage people to always wash clothes in cold water...its better for the clothes, saves energy and money and reduces your chances of stuff like this happening. Good luck.
p.s. you made perfect sense to me...you said, "I have a nice shirt- yellow and blue, not to hard to figure out that it is multiple colors in one shirt...don't listen to people like that..~wink~)

You should have used cold water.
About the only thing you can do is dye the shirt with a single color.
Since blue and yellow make green,I would suggest a shade of green just a little darker than the current shade from the washing.

You HAD a nice yellow & blue shirt. Sorry, once the colors run like that in the wash, the fabric is ruined & you can never get it back to its original state.
My advice, if you really liked that shirt, try to remember where you got it & go get yourself another one just like it.
Good luck !

You don't make sense.
Do you have one shirt that has yellow and blue, or two shirts that are YELLOW and BLUE?
In other words, if it was two shirts mixing colors, you can't get it back.
If it was just one, I'd bleach it and wear it as a white "new" shirt. LOL

I don't know of anything that you can do to fix this shirt, but next time, wash clothes like that in gental cold cycle. It helps to reduce the chance of the colors running.
