According to their posting on the College Board's website, 90% of admitted students had GPAs over 3.75, 8% between 3.5 and 3.74, and 2% between 3.25 and 3.49. That usually means that those few who got in with lower GPAs, since there are so few of them, had great SAT scores and were perhaps legacy students. So I would assume a 3.8 or above would be standard.

I don't think they have a requirement for a GPA to get into the University, but the average GPA is 3.85-4.0. Most colleges don't just look at GPA they look at SAT scores, application, (they look at how participated in school you were and what other character traits you have) and especially your personal essay.

Princeton University is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, universities in the United States to get into. The average SAT score is 1350-1550.
