The book series is a trilogy of these 3 books:
The Golden Compass
The Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass
And they are planning on making them all into films.

Erm... no. Since the Golden Compass belongs to the His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman if they do decide to make the next book into a movie it will be called The Subtle Knife. The third book is called The Amber Spyglass. I think they are planning to make them into movies. I hope so anyway ; )
