My biology teacher gave us an assignment about the advantages of large-sized cells and the disadvantages of small-sized cells. I've already found some answers to the first given question, but I have no luck in finding answers for the second question. If I found something that relates to small-sized cells, the answers would only be its advantages and not the disadvantages.

By the way, when I said "cells", I meant the unit of life, not prison cells or mobile phones.

The larger an organ is, the more cells will have gone into making it. However, intelligence has not very much to do with the number or size of neurons, but the connections between them. You can have twice as many cells as someone else, but if each cell has only one connection to another brain cell, and each of theirs has five, then they're still going to be more intelligent. So elephants will have more cells thn us, but less efficient ones. Intelligence is down to genes (how likely and how easily our neurons make these connections) and stimulation (each time you learn something, a new pathway is made. The more you revise it, the more connections along that pathway, strengthening it). Also how the brain is folded has some effect.

Claustrophobia, for one. Also, caged animals can stress out, so I imagine humans do as well. Put the animal (or human) in a big pen, they'll feel less confined. Hope that helps, good luck.
