Four guys are lined up in front of a firing squad:

They are told this:
"Two of you guys are wearing red hats and two of you guys are wearing blue hats. If you can tell me what color hat you are wearing and why, I'll let you walk away and live."
After a few seconds, one guy raises his and with the answer. Which guy was it and how did he know?

Guy 1 sees nothing.
Guy 2 sees guy 1.
Guy 3 sees guy 1 and guy 2.
Guy 4 only sees a brick wall.

IF #3 saw either
Case i : #1 with B and #2 with B he would know he had a Red hat or
Case ii : #1 with R and #2 with R he would know he had a Blue hat
In either case #3 would know instantly. Because he did not immediately raise his hand, #2 realized that neither Case i nor Case ii could hold. Thus #2 knew that he and #1 had different colored hats. Since he could see #1, he could tell that he had a hat of color different from that of #1.

Hehe, not much of a physics question but I think I got it... Obviously none of them have enough information to tell upon inspection what the answer is. But, imagine if 1 and 2 were both either red and blue. Then 3 would know that the color of his hat would have to be the remaining color. That is not the case, but there are only two cases possible. So if 3 does not answer that must mean that 1 and 2 have different colors. Therefore 2 would answer because he can see the color of 1 in front of him and thus knows that his color must be the other or else 3 would have answered.

No. 4 can easily raise his hand and say that his hat was red, he was behind a brick wall, and the brick wall had a good hole in it so he just raised his eyes up rolled them in frustration and said he had the red hat, now that he was behind the wall he already was going to run away and live lol he was already free, no more in the army man he got pissed standing behind the wall.

JACK, FIRST OFF ONLY ONE PERSON HAD A RED HAT.THE OTHER THREE HAD BLUE HATS, THEY CAN ONLY SEE THE PERSON IN FRONT OF THEM.
#1= CAN'T SEE ANYTHING
#2=CAN'T SAY,BECAUSE #1 IS BLUE
#3= KNOWS HE HAS A 50-50 CHANCE,#2 IS BLUE.
#4= SAID HE HAS THE RED HAT,BECAUSE #3 IS BLUE.

all of them would desire to have faith in guy 3 first. If he will advance his hand and says his shade then guy a million and a couple of comprehend they have an identical hat so guy 2 will say his shade then guy a million. guy 4 will call the only shade left. If guy 3 says no longer something then meaning guy a million and a couple of have a different shade each and each so guy 2 will look at guy a million's hat and make contact with the different shade then guy a million will comprehend his shade. guy 3 and four are left to die :( except guy 3 or 4 take a wild wager and that they gets a 50% danger of naming the suitable shade. greater valuable to take a wild wager then to die no longer attempting. Oh, whichever guy takes the wager and he gets it incorrect then the different guy is conscious that the colour is his so he will stay. a tragic sacrifice tale if considered one of them dies to save the different!
