is it socially acceptable for women to use ignorant generalities like "all men are dogs/pigs" or "all men cheat" yet its such a horrible thing for a man to use those same type of generalities?

Not socially acceptable to me. The ones that do should be able to take a little banter back.

I don't think it's right for either gender to make those type of remarks. I think people should be judged independently on their own merit.
