Not if what you are doing is what you love, if you love what you do, you'll be happy and find success even if it's not in the form of money or rank. Being unsympathetic in anything is most likely a very bad thing and will come back to you in the long run, no need to be a jerk and not care for others, if you truely love what you do you'll find a way to do it in all honesty and without bringing others down to make yourself seem higher.

No. You have to have compassion to get places and anybody who hurts others or don't show sympathy will get their Karma...

IF I won a game or something, I'd tell the opponent Good game, or You did great^_^...

That's how people are supposed to be anyway...

I remember this movie(can't remember the name...) but it was about sled dog racing and the boys dog died, and the other guy let him carry his dog through the finish line. Took a man to do that. I even think it was based on a true story too...
