Ctrl,Alt, and delete just once (twice will cause an improper shut down) at the same time and then wait a few shakes. The system will decide if the program is responding and ask you what you want to do if it is not. If nothing happens for a dogs age try it again. By the way, if the system isn't locked up, I would just use the method perscribed by the software in question. And as I don't know what that is, I recommend RTFM (Read The Fantastic Manual). After a while, these things become more intuitive and an operating system such as Mac is simple to learn and Linux becomes easier. (You didn't mention what OS you have either.)

I usually use ctrl + alt+ del at the same time. I then click the program that i wnat to shut down and I end it. YOu can also go to the processes tab and shut down any programs that you are running that take up memory. I often will shut down programs like, "AOL" "YAHOO" etc. SOme of them will come up on startup unless you go to RUN and type in msconfig and click which ones you want to run at startup. Hope this helps.

Control S to save the file
Control W to close the file
Alt F4 to close the program
If you attempt to close the program before saving the file, you will get a screen asking you if you want to save changes. The above prevents that and only takes a second or two.

If your on a mac then you want "Apple+Q" that will quit the program.
to force quit on a mac "Apple+option+escape" and then select the program.
If you in the DOS based world then or in a programing language then "Ctrl-C" or "Ctrl-Break"
That is all of the non Windows ones I can think of.

First, you may desire to only remember to've put in the sound card driving force. 2d, examine your speaker plugged right into a ideal connector on the back or front of the pc. it style of feels you probably did no longer installation the driving force wisely.
