This is a tough thing to debate because you can say that no body gets interested in College Baseball because it is never shown on tv, highlights are never and sportscenter, and it never gets news coverage. But the major reason is probably the fact that Professional Baseball, unlike any other of the major sports, has such an intricate "farm system" where players are drafted out of college, only to be put in single A leauges and have to work their way up. Compare it to college football when you see the kids playing in the NFL the next year. It may take a college baseball kid 5 years.

I kinda wonder if it isn't because baseball has the Minors...where that kind of takes the place of college....there aren't a TON of other sports that have more competitive and exciting minors. It seems like college baseball is no big deal, but when u get to the minors it seems like the next great step after High School instead of college. Good question tho.

It's simple -- many of the young talents are already playing in the minor leagues.

If there were no minor leagues and MLB drew their talent exclusively from colleges--like the NFL--there would be a lot more interest in college baseball.

its because they dont get famous even for years after they make it to the majors. not like in football where some rookies are as popular as the veterans. also america just isnt as in to baseball as it used to be.

well no fans would be kind of exaggerating.i prefer fewer fans. i think simply because college baseball is less spectacular.
