I always wondered what training was required to get that job.

Oh, I think they have too many "affairs" on domestic soil to handle, and want to keep everyone happy! I think the training is in diplomacy, tact and ability to keep ones mouth shut!

Oh, my naive little friend. They have people to cover up, not handle, their foreign "affairs." When the "affair" is leaked, These people are referred to as the, "Damage Control" people.
I do not think much training is required. lol
