2 onesie
2 pants
1 short sleeve side snap
1 long sleeve side snap
1 sweater
1 light blanket
1 thermal blanket
2 socks
2 mittens
10 diapers
wipes
first aid
baby shampoo & towel
hand sanitizer & lotion
burp cloth & bib
It's not a particularly large bag and it seems nearly overstuffed. Is there anything I can do with out? I'll be en route a total of 6 hours (check in early /2hrs + flight one/2hrs + overlay/1hr + flight two/1hr = 6hrs total). I'm traveling w/ a 10 wk old. I have a wrap to carry her in.

Sounds good as long as the hand sanitizer, lotion, baby shampoo, and whatnot is 3.4 ounces (100 ML) or less (container size) and you pull that stuff out of your baby bag.
If you are going to have milk for a baby, that's fine (water isn't for some God-only-knows-reason, but milk is fine) so long as you pull it out of your bag.
I'd say you don't need the 2 mittens or the thermal planket in your carry-on, and you probably don't need the baby shampoo or towel since I doubt you'll be bathing the baby on the flight en route (the bathrooms in the airplane are usually too small for that), so you could get rid of that if you need a spot for the baby's milk or if you just want to free up some space in your bag. And just make sure you ask for help if/when you need it! Most people are fairly nice to new moms.
Best of luck! Traveling with an infant is stressful to say the least.

This is just for your diaper bag right? Assuming baby will have more clothing in the luggage --
I would bring 2 extra sleepers (with feet) and forget the onsies, pants, shirts, socks and sweaters. Much less complicated.
I wouldn't bring the mittens either. And you can probably due with one blanket.
I don't know that you need the shampoo and towel -- although if baby has a blow out, it would be nice to have to help clean him up. But you probably won't need it. I would bring an extra burp cloth and bib. I would bring plastic bags to put trash or poopie/wet pants in.
I traveled with twins so I understand economy of space...If you travel alot, consider more disposable items, bibs, changing pads, etc. Helps keep the diaper bag neater and gets lighter as you go.
I'm assuming you are breast feeding b/c no bottles?
If baby cries during take off and landing his ears may have a hard time popping, so the best thing to do is to nurse him and stay relaxed. If you get anxious so will he.

Are you carrying the shampoo and towel on the plane in the carry-on? You might want to check that below. You won't need that at all on the plane- just use wipes if an emergency. I think the same goes for the lotion unless it is for you.
The rest sounds good- especially with the weather being what it is.
Good luck and I hope it is a smooth ride for you both!

You probably won't need quite so many extra clothes and blankets. I'd take the lightest blanket, 2-3 shirts or onesies, and 1 pair of pants & socks. Skip the sweater and mittens, and maybe the shampoo and towel. Since you'll be carrying the baby in a wrap, she'll be plenty warm.
Good luck!

Maybe you have too many extra outfits & blankets? Might not need the lotion, shampoo & towel - unless this is your only bag for the whole trip.
If you are nursing, be prepared to nurse at take off and landing - I did that with my daughter when she was a baby and it helped immensely. A pacifier (or a clean pinkie finger) can help with the pressure changes, too, if you don't nurse. Good luck!

sounds like you have everything covered. I second the idea of bringing sleepers vs. pants, onesies, tops, etc. Much easier for a clothing change on the plane. You could also just bring one blanket- the wrap will work as a cover too for both the baby and breastfeeding.

What do you do to calm her when she is upset and screaming? Does she take a binky? Does she have a special blanket or stuffed animal or musical toy that calms her? Whatever it is, take it. You never know when a wee one will get overwhelmed/overstimulated and, aside from hiding in the bathroom, there is nowhere to go.

i would do without the thermal blanket and just carry the light blanket. i would put her in a little sweatshirt or jacket instead. everything else is pretty much a nessesity that you probably cant do without. the blanket should give you more room though.

what about formula or other quiptment, my son suffers from GERD so our trips are always followed by lots of baggage, with us we take, 5-10nappies for a 6hour period incase of accident, we taken meds and teething jel's, we take burp clothes and bibs, 3 change of clothes and 2nightware, we take wipes, nappy sacks, bum cream, 5bottles sometimes 6, we take a whole tin of formula, his medical book just incase, we also take dummies. toys, blankets, snowsuits and a light jacket, hankies incase his nose starts running, a hat keep his head warm, first aid kit with thermometer, and some other bits and bobs for myself like mints and paper or a book....
good luck on your trip

Just be sure to have your liquid items in a baggie to show when you go through the gate. you might want some diaper ointment unless you are considering it first aid.
