I have a ring that was from my Mom and her boyfriend at the time. He has since passed away. The ring means a lot to me and I am so happy that I still have it. I was 11 when they gave it to me. It actually still fits! If I am bloated it does get a little tight. I also have a stuffed dog that was given to me by my Mother when I was 3 years old. I named her Lassie. She and I were inseparable as I grew up. I even remember when I first saw her. I begged my Mom to get her for me, but my Mom said no. I guess she planned on getting her for me for Christmas. Still to this day if I am sad I grab her and hug her just like old times. I swear I would be lost without her. I know how crazy that sounds, but I got through a lot of difficult times in my childhood while squeezing onto that dog for dear life.

When I was 1 years old, my great grandmother began sewing an ivory colored peacoat for me. We'll she passed away a short time after beginning the coat. I still have it today, 27 years later, still marked with straight pins and partially completed.
