you could also try oxy clean with super super hot water...allow it to soak in for awhile and re-wash like normal. If the stain is still there, do NOT put it in the dryer. Repeat the process...the dryer will set a stain but if you work hard to get it out before it goes back in the dryer you could potentially save the sheets!
and just a hint for if it ever happens again....rip the sheets off and get them to a sink as fast as possible....rinse under cold water and use hand soap to lather it up and rinse...the stains should be gone that fast!
Good luck!

RE:
How do you get old period blood stains out of white sheets?
The stains are a month old, and the sheets have been through the wash twice(?) since the ~incident.~
Are the stains baked in? Or is there a miracle solution? ...
I'm sick of having to throw a pillow over the stain when someone comes in my room. :P

ERA laundry detergent ads claimed it could remove dried stains from clothing.
Have you tried using Shout or another pre-wash treatment?
You might try Reslove carpet cleaner and there is a citrus cleaner called Desolv-it.
If you can't get rid of the stain, you can always dye the sheet red or cut it up for cleaning and dusting rags.

Try using a bacteriological pre-soak like BIZ, it's full of little critters that are just dying to be fed by anything that they believe is food (like blood).
Use a glass or stainless steel container and let them work until next laundry day.

Try a product that you can purchase at Lowe's or The Home Depot. It is called "GOOF OFF 2". It may just work for you. You may also want to try Oxi Clean. That works good too.
