Every once in a while I give my cat a little "people food" as a treat. It's only a bite, and only meat that is not marinated/seasoned and is thoroughly cooked. He doesn't get it while we're eating, it's put directly in his bowl, and it's done when he's off doing something else (just as I'd do with a dog, so they don't continue begging).

well, don't have any cats...but the neighborhood strays seem to have taken up residence on my property! and since they aren't mine...but i won't allow anything to just starve...they eat whatever i give them...people food or cat food...either is a treat!

they eat cat food most of the time, but they really LOVE fish & poultry.....
the youngest also enjoys tea & beer :-)
