SOAPBOX
Welcome—As your soapbox speaker for today, I would like to share some concerns that have been on my mind.
It is a well-known ANCIENT Chinese secret that early to bed early to rise, makes a “man” healthy, wealthy and wise. As a woman of this century, I can APPRECIATE the wisdom behind that statement, but I take issue with the use of the word “man.” I know it really just means the race of man, and as such, I should not take issue with it. However, I would AMEND the statement by replacing the word “man” with “person.”
As long as I am on my soapbox, let me say that I am willing to ABIDE by the rules of society, but it is definitely time we bid ADIEU to the notion that a woman is too emotional to be President of the United States.
Another thing that leaves me utterly astounded is that so many people fail to ANTICIPATE the results of their actions. “If I drink too much, I will get drunk.” Or -- “If I drive too fast, I may cause an accident, or get a speeding ticket.” One should ALWAYS consider the consequences of their actions.
An ACTUAL fact of life is that there will always be germs. It is up to us how to deal with them. Shall we spread disease by not being responsible enough to take precautions, or should we do the wise thing and try to prevent the spread of disease in any way at our disposal? This includes using protection when having sex, and using ANTI BACTERIAL products.
It is time for me to step down off my soapbox, but in parting, I would like to offer a bit of advice. Take lots of pictures of your loved ones, vacations, or other landmark occasions in your life. Share them with friends and family on the Internet. Preserve them in an ALBUM. Be sure to identify who is in the picture and the date. It is, after all, the story of your life, and one picture is worth 1,000 words. Memories have a tendency to become faded over time. Time has even been known to rewrite history. We go through life making memories. You should preserve them so you can see exactly how things were. After all, we only get one shot at so many things in life......

Terrence had a rare signed ALBUM by the rolling stones. Everyday he ALWAYS cleaned it with ANTI BACTERIAL spray. He never could have ANTICIPATED the day when Kieth Richards asked him for it back.
"But.... it is ACTUALly mine, all mine..... you even said my name on it." Terrence said sorrowfully, gripping the album.
" It is mine I am on the cover after all." Kieth challenged an in one swift motion he scooped up the album and yelled, "ADIEU to you!!!"
For years Terrence never left his house, he only APPRECIATED the occassional night when there was a rolling stones add for something or another.
To AMEND the broken heart of a fan, Kieth wrote him a contract and made terrence a list of when he could visit them, as long as he ABIDED the rules of never talking to any of the members. The ANCIENT CD Was

He washed the album with antibacterial spray because he always would anticipate well-meaning friends touching the actual photographs. Luckily, he met messy Mary, who helped him say "adieu" to that compulsion. He came to appreciate the sloppier things in life and even decided to amend his previous rule about taking his socks off at the door. Even messy Mary could abide by that and the rest, my friend, is ancient history. :)
