What make-up should i wear??

okay im 14 years old and i have past shoulder length brown hair w/ side bangs, i have brown eyes too. Thanks =)

in terms of companies, it depends upon your style. for example, MAC is known to be really out there, and stilla is more girly. i would suggest going to sephora and just playing around with their stuff. also, if you find something (like eyeshadow color .... etc.) that you really like that is really expensive, just go to a drug store and find the same color for cheap. also, clinique is a really good company for anyone because the founder (i believe) was a dermatologist before she went into cosmetics, so their stuff is made to not be bad for your skin.

also, because you are young, don't use face make up, or keep it minimal. if you must use something, i would suggest tinted moisturizer, because it's not as heavy as foundation, powder.... etc. because you're 14, your at the age where people tend to get acne and skin problems. that's why you want to keep your face make up to a minimum because it helps cause acne problems (remember to wash your face twice a day with facial acne soap!).

in terms of your eyes, number one, BLACK mascara is a must. if you have time to only do one thing, wear mascara (and curl you lashes before applying the mascara, both on the top and bottom lashes and also on the top and bottom OF your lashes). now, because your young, i would suggest using browns and lighter colors. avoid black eye shadow and liner, and look more to brown smokey eyes (which are coming back in) and gray smokey eyes (which are good substitutes for black smokey eyes). essentially, what you do is apply your eyeliner to the top and bottom of your lash lines, but only three-fourths in (starting from the outer corner and working towards the inner). keep the inner corners clear because this opens up your eyes. then, go over that line with the same color of eye shadow. you can fan the eye shadow up and out in the outer corners, but that isn't necessary.

also, the gold eyeshadow look is totally hot right now, and wouldn't look bad on someone your age. apply the gold shadow on your top line up until about your eyebrow bone. you can take a bone-colored eyeshadow and sweep that on right under your eyebrow and down a little passed where you ended the gold shadow so that it looks more even, but this isn't necessary. then, get a eyeliner pencil (for this look, it is okay to have black eyeliner) and just line the top eye lash line. for parties or dances, you could do this look, but also apply a bold red lipstick, which will really make your look pop.

i hope this helped. if you want further info, you could just go to Macy's or Sephora or other such stores and get yourself made up. this is helpful because they ask you what type of look you want, and they are able to give you a look that is specific to your features, and thus would be better advice than what we can give you.

Whatever you wear honey, make sure you don't put on make-up and look like a street walker. I cannot believe how many young, beautiful girls look like whores with a ton of make-up on their faces. It looks cheap and very tacky.

Less is more, all the make-up artists say that for any age. With brown eyes, you can wear just about anything! Lucky you. My suggestion would be a light brown on the crease of your lid, a light pink nearer the lashes and off white along the brow line. Remember, less is more.

i have the same traits as you.
I stick with more natural colors. like deep browns, light browns, whites, tans, etc.

-make sure to line the top lash line with a darker eye pencil (black is amazing.)
-add darker base above lash line (dark brown or even grey)
- add another color above the first one. this time use a lighter shade.
-add a highlighter, this will make your eyes pop. use a cream colored eye shadow, or at least a shimmery one. you put the highliter right under niether you brow line.
- then add eye liner on bottom of eyes, either the Kohel ones or out side the eye.
-the finally add mascara!

Why don't you look at your mom and just try the one best thing that works for her.
Your skin is probably beautiful and healthy even with a blemish or two. Keep them to a minimum by taking care of yourself and taking the advice of a dermatologist. Its time to see one so you can hear from a specialist how to care for your skin now so you minimize problems later.
And I know it sounds coy, but always put on a smile.

have you thought about light lavender on your eyes, line your eyes with brown liner and brown or black mascara. Since you're 14 just a little gloss, no blush and I'll bet you'll look great.

I think the mineral formulations are great for teenage skin. it doesn't clog pores and it makes your skin look airbrushed.
Check out "Bareminerals" or "JaneIredale" online. They are a bit pricey, but they last a long time.
