There are a large number of songs written for mezzo-soprano in both jazz and classical genres, but most jazz tunes involve belting, not head voice singing.

As for classical, a good book to start with is Schirmer's "24 Italian songs and arias". You would want the medium-high version because you can use your head voice often.

Also, many classical and romantic composers (Mozart, Schumann, Schubert, etc.) wrote a whole bunch of songs for solo voice, and many of these can be found in bookstores, music stores, or online.

Hope that helps!

Try something by Josh Groban or Andrea Boccelli. For Josh Groban I suggest Per Te or When you say you love me. For Andrea Boccelli it could be Time to say goodbye. Cant help you with the jazz part though. Good luck.
