What is wrong with America?

2007-12-08 14:40:46 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 5 5

Everyone is so concerned about the president when that is only a small part of what we need to solve this nations problems. All the candidates except for Dr. Paul are on the take from some lobby or corperation. It is pretty much the same with the house and senate. If you look closely very few if any politition's even down to the city level are not in bed with intity not part of the government for money. The way to solve this is to do our damndest to elect people who care about this country. Forget political party affiliations and look at the facts on the candidates you have to choose from and try and make educated decisions. Step away for the things I call Non Issues such as gun control, gay marriege and abortion as all these are primarily distractions from the real issues of national security, international relations, economy, and imigration. If you read the Constitution these are supposed to be the issues the federal government is supposed to work on. Not healthcare, welfare, and other minor issues. Those are supposed to fall under the Powers fo each individual state.

P.S. If the polititions in your district/county/city/state are not doing the job to your satisfaction, try and find someone to run who will or put your money where your mouth is and get in the fight yourself.

What is fundamentally wrong with America is that we over indulge our children and they grow up to be Liberal Airheads like you. This is the greatest place on the planet to live yet self hating is very chic among the left in this country. I wish they would grow up and realize what a wonderful country this really is.

No... we can elect a Democratic president and have him or her not do ANYTHING to fix what's going on... we really shouldn't have messed up in the first place... basically, it doesn't really matter who we elect or what they do... there are still people who are going to think that that decision is wrong, whether we take the troops out of Iraq and stop getting toys from China or not... we could elect the most loved person in the whole world but when you make a decision that will affect the entire fre wolrd, there are always going to be huge groups of people who disagree with that decision

Well no, not really. I'm all for a democratic president for a while but it's not the answer to fixing everything. The answer to that question will probably never be found. As long as ignorant people raise ignorant children then we will always have a problem in America. How do we get rid of ignorant people? Easy, we ignore them and make sure they never ever make to the Oval Office again!

Nothing can fix it. The time to "fix" it would have been 40-50 years ago, before any of the problems could be seen. Once the problems are apparent (and they are) it's already too late.

I had a very liberal environmental friend during the Gore/Bush election who kept saying "They are both the same! What difference will it make! Vote for a third party!"
After Bush "won", I think she saw just how differently Bush handles the environment than Gore would have. So, while it won't fundamentally fix our country, I hope a democrat will at least clean up the messes we are in so we keep our planet "above water " and keep our civil liberties. Perhaps turning all stupid talk radio show dj's in and trading them for intelligent people we could tune out all the idiots. ....

Absolutely not. The Democrats are just as corrupt as the Republicans. I don't know what will fix this country, but it is certainly not going to happen if we elect a Democrat.

The only thing that wil fix america and rid it of it's arrogance, intollerance and division is if the world adopts the Euro to trade for oil.

The blank cheque book will be torn up. The dollar will be worthless and america will have to take care of it's citizens better.
