I'm just trying to get a clearer understanding of the culture and all people tell me is that they wear black, have their hair in thier face etc.

no emo means that they are emotional, thats what emo stands for. Typically they listen to screamy music and all that jazz, but their mentality is the "oh woe is me" mentality where they think the world is against them. The guy in the Omaha shooting was just psycho

He was a loser, not emo, goth or any thing else. This loser walked into a mall and ruined the lives of 9 families, just because things weren't going his way.
