First of all, I don't think that is what Obama and Oprah have in mind. There is nothing wrong with a celebrity campaigning for his or her candidate. Everyone's just upset that she prefers to support the first black president rather than the first woman president. I'm a white woman, but I don't want Hillary to be the first woman president. She's a disgrace to women everywhere--putting up with her cheating husband and now acting like none of that ever happened. What's wrong with you people?

At the least, Oprah's got everybody talking. And I'm tired of hearing that Obama has no experience. He has ten years' experience TEACHING constitutional law at Harvard! At last, someone who understands the constitution. Wouldn't that be refreshing! I made up my mind to vote for Obama long before Oprah ever uttered his name. Her support of him will not change my mind.

Thanks for letting me rant.

Obama in '08!

Obama could not offer Oprah a position as VP, though I think she would be a formidable politician. But he already gets enough flack about not being experienced enough. No, Obama's running mate is going to be older, experienced, male, and white. My money would be on Joe Biden.

No, she would not. She makes far more money now than she would make for the term as Veep.

I will be named as Obama's Veep long before Oprah.

If Obama has any sense, if he wins the nomination, he'll ask John Edwards.

I'm an Obama fan (and an Independet voter), and I have no interest in Opra - never watched her show, don't care about her, wouldn't vote for her, don't care. But - as I would NEVER vote for Hilary, I'd really hope he goes with Edwards............or Al Gore ;-)

I doubt she would even be interested. Her talk show is scheduled to go on for at least another 5-10 years. She makes too much money at what she does.

If he gets the nod, there will be no VP place to offer her or anyone.
