Look around for local "house clearance" sales and auctions - she can buy odds and ends there and also possibly sell a few things for more than she could on the stall. Look out for "boxes of odds" as these can be real bargains and usually sell cheaply.
Ebay is good but bric a brac type things don't tend to sell well there - for some reason little things always sell better face to face so she could be buying and selling larger items at auctions or Ebay and keeping the smaller items back for the stalls. She should take someone along with her so that she has the chance to browse the other stalls as well, a lot of people still go out planning to do one sale and will sell all their leftovers very cheaply at the end as it saves them the trouble of packing it up and taking it home again.
We used to do a lot with car boot sales and auctions until it got to be too much for John with his back and all. It was a lot of fun and very profitable - we tend to stick with Ebay now.

Try Ebay.
I'm a seller and do about 700-800 a month....great walking around money and a supplement to my SocSec and retirement funds.
I actually buy a lot at flea markets, yard sales, donated clothing stores, etc. bring it home, clean it up and get 6 or 7 times the price I paid for it.
Have her give it a try. It's soo easy.
I could probably make more if I wanted to put more time in it - but I don't care to do that. I have a friend who is a full-time Ebayer and she supports herself doing it.
