If by "beda", you mean "Betta" (also known as the Siamese Fighting Fish), they normally live 4-6 years, but there are 10 year old Bettas... Unfortunately, the vase+peace lily trend killed a LOT of fish very quickly...

Some people say 2 years other people say 5 years. I guess it depends on your tank setup. Right now I have 2 bettas. One is in a bowl and the other one is in a 20 gallon tank. If I had to make a prediction, I'd say that the one in the 20 gallon tank will outlive the one in the bowl. If you decide to get a bowl setup, try to get a bowl that could hold about a gallon of water. I've heard of bettas living in bowls for over 2 years.

In a proper set up - at least a five gallon tank with a filter and a heater with a varied diet of flake and live/frozen foods - a betta can live up to ten years. In a bowl they'll only live about two years, but usually less.

i have had an average life span of 4-6 years for my bettas.
but always make sure you buy one that looks healthy (no torn anything, clear eyes, look for ich or other diseases, and look for ones that move a lot and dont just lay in a corner. vibrant colered ones are usually better to get then dull)
