I frequently have thoughts, disturbing thoughts, of hurting my daughter, and i know in my heart that i would NEVER EVER EVER hurt her, but i cant shake the feeling of for example we will be outside on the patio, and i have a image of letting her fall from the second floor, know that im writting it out it sounds horribly wrong!! I dont want to hurt my baby, she's my heart i love her, but i wish that these thoughts would go away, i pray for them to go away, i dont want to go to counceling for fear of them taking the baby away from me.

What should i do?

You didn't post how old she is, but this could be a factor of post partum depression. You also say that you do love your daughter, and would never hurt her. That's understood, however, you can feel this way and not be completely happy about being a mother. It just sounds as if you have some resentment towards her, whether it is coming from post partum depression or some other factor. I honestly would suggest counseling for the fact that it may be a condition that requires treatment or therapy, but if you don't do that, do continue to pray about this. And not only do that, try to figure out exactly what the problem is, whether you feel that you do have a condition or if you have resentment towards her because of some issues. And from there, a resolution will come. Hope it helps, and I hope everything works out for both you and your child.

I had a similar experience with my son when he was a newborn. It could be some post partum depression, or just nerves if she is your first. Make sure that you have a good support system, so you can get breaks and sleep. If you are really concerned do try to talk to someone. I am sure that if you explain the situation, they would try to help you instead of trying to take your daughter away. Being a parent, whether it is your first or second is a stressful thing. Don't be afraid to ask for help..

This sounds like some sort of post partum thing. Talk to your OBGYN or family doctor. I have heard of women having these thoughts after pregnancy. Having these thoughts are not wrong nor do they make you a bad mom if you dont act on them. Seek help .... you'll be surprised because it is a common post partum issue and there are prescription drugs that can help.

You need to call your ob/gyn they can get you help. And you need it. Because if left untreated, even if you don't mean to you could hurt your baby. And they will not take her away from you, because post partum depression, and post partum sycosis happens to many women. Just you seeking help shows that you are a good mother and know you have problem.

Sounds like Post Partum Depression - and it is sooo curable!
You do not have to live like this another day - there is a cure/help, please ask for it!

Best wishes and thanks for asking - you are one pill away from feeling better.
