It depends on the situation. I usually flirt by making jokes. I'm not as straightforward as some of my friends, but it usually works. By the way. Are you a girl? That could definitely influence how I would flirt with you, because I don't flirt with guys.

Get to know you a bit first. Wouldn't want to cross the line too soon. Start with general conversation, find out your likes and dislikes..then start teasing you about them. Making you laugh is usually the best way to to break the ice.
