It depends on the state and the prison. Some states encourage prisoners to get a degree or at least earn credits towards a degree. Those that encourage it often have courses in prison. You should be able to find out what's available in your state.

As the witch in the Wizard of Oz said, "What a world..."
What a world that we wonder, pondering whether someone who is imprisoned for making perhaps the wrong choice in life, is able to turn themselves around while encamped in a treasure trove of time.
Thieves can break in and steal your things, but can they steal your mind?
The world can abandon you, throw you into jail and sentence your existence to permanent detention, but if you have something to ponder and think about...that is the rat ta ta of a machine gun killing thought. One thought at a time there is no end to the wonder the pace and the height; there is no bragging rights of the mind. No matter what you do there is no limit to it, there is no richest in the mind, because there is no limit to its spending power.
Why don't we know the answer to your question, since the supposed purpose of incarceration is part rehabilitation; I say, because you ask this question, this is the very proof of only the retributive element of incarceration.
So, what are you going to do about answering this question? When are we all going to join together and bring our brothers and sisters with us on this journey of the mind?
It is easy to say that we are fine, educated and making money--how is it that our brothers and sisters have a chance to cope or deal with life's cruelties, when faced with a beginning of gunfire, drugs, hopeless parenting and a street of gang camaraderie?
The love of the world and the mind is the answer...yet our friend asks, can our brothers get an education while incarcerated...I don't know, but I do know, he is onto a great question.

Absolutely yes.
But why would you want to do that behind bars?
Get an education out of prison, not while in prison.
