From a political perspective, no.
Today's Germany is probably the most democratic country in the world. They developed their own electoral system, Mixed Member Proportional. Half of the people are elected under the First Past the Post system, the other are elected under Proportional Representation.
What happened to Germany under Hitler and the Nazi party is a tragedy, but because Germany was destroyed during WWII because of them, Germany was given an opportunity to more or less start from scratch. The result is a new, effective political system that has been copied in other parts of the world.

Germany's Hitler and Iran's Ahmadenijad have a lot in common. They area against Jews and Christians. And no, Germany doesn't need to credit Hitler for anything. They are doing fine without him.

No. Without Hitler Germany probably would have collasped in on itself. But also keep in mind that Hitler ushered in a new dark age for Germany, with it being separated for over 40 years. What has resulted in Germany with socialism is partly the fault of that and partly the fault of neighboring contries and politics.

Yes. Germany's deep cultural values (hard work, education, respect for laws, respect for authority, etc) were around long before World War 2.

If Hitler would have left Stalingrad alone in the winter of '42 (I think), Stalin would have signed on with him. NEVER fight a land war in Asia is a truism.

When Hitler first came into power, no one was starving anymore and there was less crime.
