I feel for you, I'm waiting for mine to finalize now. If you've both agreed to a divorce and want to be civil with each other it can be done with minimal fuss. Go online and find a legal aid office close to you and go talk to someone, they're free. As a matter of fact go there and talk to someone and find out what you need to do and they will give you the best advice on what to do and where to go and help you fill out paperwork. And also do some homework on the local divorce laws in your area and that will help alot too. If you can and want to do it on your own and you have a non-contested divorce(both want a divorce and are somewhat civil with each other and have no children) there is a book you can get a boarders that has everything in it as well as the paperwork to start the divorce. If you have children, go to legal aid first and they will point you in the direction of a good lawyer.

you don't say why you need the divorce so I will give you this site first in case it is because he is abusive in any way. Secondly, go to legal aid in your area and you can get an attorney that you can afford for the divorce. I will also give you a site for life choices where you can click on the threads for divorce and self esteem help. Good luck to you!

Go online and check w/ divorceme.com. You have to pay for the paperwork and all you do is fill in the blanks and press print. it will cost about $200.00 and filing does cost also. if you can't afford to file, you can p/u the filing paperwork at the library and do it for free. You have to prove you can't afford it. I'm sorrry for your troubles. I hope everything works out for the best, whatever the best may be.

Maybe start with WHY!!!???!! Have you explored all other options? What is the reason for the divorce, is it nessecary for your life or someone elses? Is it teh EASY way out? Since that seems to be the only thing we as Humans want to do, take the easy less "bumpy" road!

You need a attorney. I would do research on the internet. You have to pay to file the papers and get him served. Good luck!

Go to your local courthouse. They will give you paper work and explain what you need to do from there. You will either have to get a lawyer or do it yourself (which is tough but can be done.) Good luck!!
