I don't know what my graphics card is, so don't ask. The client closes and the crash logger appears every time I try to run it. I really want to play so help would be appreciated VERY much!

I hate to say you're probably going to run into problems.. and your computer may not be able to do the job for Second Life.
But before you give up hope.... Load the program, click 'preferences' then on each and every tab, lower all of the bars to minimum, and uncheck everything you can.... especially on the graphics detail, and advanced graphics... lower all the settings. .... also, turn off audio, video, and voice.
Then, try to connect.
If you get into inworld, and you've connected, but then you keep crashing once you're in there... keep trying.... dont run any other programs with SL, and dont click anything once you click 'connect'
i wish ya luck, see ya inworld

Sounds like the same problem i had.
It does have to do with the graphics card you have simply because of the games platform so yea. if you crash on startup .. ussualy what happened for me was my computer went to safemode and everything locked up . then its your card , but there are small ways around this.
reset the graphics for the game in options to lower pixels and also redo alot of the options that lower things like overall prims shown and draw distance. it will make alot of stuff disapear at long ranges but will help with the lag on your card.
if that doesnt work then a new card/computer is your only option to play.
sorry there isnt more
