If the next life is going to be so much better why are you waiting?

wow, well this is different. Most atheist don't need an afterlife to look forward to in order to live life.I don't live this life because of a reward of an afterlife.I try to live this life the best that i can because once i die i won't have a second chance, also there is the fact of my loved ones,my family,my friends that are important to me,unlike you i think that there is value in this life and i live for this lie not some after life.If you think this life is pointless without an aftelife then you are a weak minded individual.Shouldn't you be throwing yourself off of a building to reach your afterlife quicker if that is what really matters to you.

Are you implying that we don't believe in life after death? Just don't believe in heaven & hell bit.

I live my life to do the best for me, my family, my friends, my neighbours, my fellow employees, to keep the earth as healthy as I can and treat others as I would like to be treated.
Do I sound much different than someone who professes to be "Christian"? Nope ! However, I just don't believe in a higher being.

I'm agnostic.
If I killed myself family and friends would miss me, being Christians, they would freak out and think that I was burning in hell and they'd never see me again.

I have no reason to kill myeself, just because I'm not Christian doesn't mean that I can't love life.

I do things because It's the right thing to do, not because I'm afraid of God's wrath if I don't. It wouldn't be right to scare my family, or to give up everything that I've worked hard to achieve in life.

No there is one thing after life, it is death. And life to us is known and death will always be unknown until it happens. It is best to go with what you know.

Stop living your life in preparation for death and go out and live.

No. I love and cherish my life so much. In fact, it makes more sense for the religious person to kill themselves, since they just think they'll go to some paradise when they die. I've got nothing to look forward to.
