A jet needs to attain a speed of 206 mph to take off. If it can accelerate from 0 to 206 mph in 34 seconds, how long must the runway be? (Assume constant acceleration, and give your answer in feet.)

a = Δv / Δt

1 mile = 5280 feet = 1609 meters.

Convert 206 mph into either meters or feet per second and use the second equation to get the acceleration. Then use the first to find the length of the runway d.
