i think if John Lennon had lived,he would be a leader in the peace movement.The Beatles themselves were just a lovely diversion.I think they got we americans through a very rough national time just after JFK was assassinated.you are right in the sense that it would be better to listen to the Beatles than to,say, gangsta hip-hop.,the kind with nothing but bullets,"bitches" and bling.But I think a group like Linkin Park is somehow more relevant to today's scene,especially "What I've Done " and "Shadow Of The Day",from their latest album.

How is this supposed to help? What it needs to make this a better world is more tolerance toward other people.
Edit: Jennifer, the Beatles music will never become irrelevant!Lennon & McCartney wrote songs that will remain classics for all time.While I only liked a few of their songs, I have to admit they were tops at song writing.

No. The Beatles have become culturally and musically irrelevant. Not only has their talent been surpassed many times over, the people who once worshiped them are now in middle age and are responsible citizens, loving parents and decent human beings who don't care about rock and roll and long hair anymore.
