Ugh... trim it... guys completely shaving or completely full grown is gross... Trimming is the way to go! Shaving may make it 'look' bigger... but it still won't feel bigger.

Your question her poses a couple problems for an answer. First of all, you are asking for people's opinions and as the gamut of different answers shows, that could be confusing all on it's own. Secondly, you've got some misinformation which could be trumping you up as well. So let's start with the opinion side.
While you will always have those that says keep it, retaliating against those that say get rid of it, and then of course those in the middle that say just trim it. All in all, this is more an esthetic thing than anything else. Where you live, in the the city or the country, what social class you come from, how religious your family is, or even how tech savvy your family is will all play into the demographic of the people around you. However, when it boils down to it, the only person that should really have a say in whether your shave or not should be you. After all it is your body.
But before I leave it at that, let's talk about some information that might help you work things out. First of all, the hair's purpose, beside signifying that you are sexually mature to mate, also play a huge role in trapping pheromones. Pheromones are the scent hormones that you release from your crotch and arm pits. While the smell is different in both areas and some people are more prone to release more than others, the purpose remains the same. Back in the day when we were all a little more primitive and a little less civilized, pheromones played a role in attraction. Today however, cleanliness and caring for one's body is more attracting than letting those smells run rampant. Logically cutting the hair off would reduce the amount of smell, and therefore increasing your attraction in today's world. Theoretically.
Then you have the issue of size. Cutting the hair will obviously not change the size of your manhood. What it will do however, is change the perception of your manhood. More hair around the base of the penis makes the penis look smaller. Less hair or even no hair makes the penis look bigger.
But removing the hair altogether, could in some situations cause a social inconvenience by making you look 12 again. But if you have a great body, no hair often makes you more sexual to others than having hair according to recent research.
As to whether it will grow back thicker, that is an old wife's tale. Most boys who shave see more hair after they shave, but not because it causes more hair to grow. Hair grows in stages, you cut one stage, it starts the second stage growing plus the rest of the first stage still comes in, making it look like you have more hair. Plus, many boys start to shave at a time in their life when they would have more hair regardless of what they did simply because hair is growing in all over the place anyway.
But after some time, shaving or waxing or whatever method you choose, actually causes the hair to thin and in some cases take much longer to grow in. So while that first shave might cause some discomfort the next day or so, after some time, you won't even notice it.
Speaking as someone who has shaved since the stuff has come in and has much experience in reacting or not reacting to other people's thoughts on the subject, I would have to say the benefits far outweigh any negatives that people would suggest. Almost everyone I have met find it to be attractive and many go on to start shaving themselves. Personally, I shave all around the base and leave a small neatly trimmed bush above.
In the end though, it really is up to you. Do you enjoy it? Do you like the way it looks? Then go for it. If you find you don't like it, it grows back and you are nothing the less for it. So go ahead and try it, you've got nothing to lose. And remember, you are always going to have people giving you their opinions about things in life. But the only opinion that should really matter, is your own. Happy shaving!

I used to shave when I was about 16... cause I thought it looked horrible... actually I only shaved once and hated myself for WEEKS as it was growing back in. From that point on I've trimmed the hair to a less unruly length but thats about it... shaving is painful... trimming to about 1/2 inch (1.5cm) will do pretty much the same thing for you in terms of what it looks like.

shave, it will not grow back thicker, for me it grows back softer. first you need to get a new razor disposable is the best, then get some scissors and trim the hair as far as you can go down(don't cut yourself, be very careful), then get some shaving cream( i use Barbasol , it is in a red, blue, and white can or it is green and white) soak your remaining pubes in the shaving cream for five minutes or so, to soften the hair, then shave down and rinse, and then shave going up and rinse, after this apply some moisturizer to the areas you shaved so that it will reduce irritation.
*remember if it is your first time shaving down there you are gonna get irritation from shaving, eventually it will start to reduce as your skin gets used to you shaving down there, this is why you need to use some type of moisturizer each time you shave and every night.

I am 52 years old I have shaved for 30 years, the hair now if not shaved is fine and sparse, I could live with this compared to the thick wire I had as a young man, it works the same way for women

I suggest trimming it because i am a girl and i know i dont want to see a forest on you and you dont want to see a forest on me. however if you completly shave it, it'll look like you've never entered puberty and same for the girl. i like a lil hair, but not that much. coming from a girl who's between 14 and 18. 15 to be exact.
