not thoughtful is if you never even think about what the other person wants

Not being thoughtful is an oversight. Being inconsiderate is purposefully rude.

Being inconsiderate: "Yo' fool! Imma' fire muh' GUN!" (fires randomly, and put's other's in danger, not meaning to hurt anyone).

Not being thoughtful: "Stupid h0e!! Get on yo' motha' f***in' knees and talk into the microphone befow' I busta' cap in yo' ***** a.ss!"

Not being thoughtful would mean answering this question with 'idk'. Being inconsiderate would mean answering this question with "You don't know? What are you, an idiot?"
