Loose leaf teas are many times better than any teas that is offered in bags.
Once you start drinking loose leaf teas, you wondered how you were able to drink tea that was brewed from tea bags.
I do not think I know of one person who went back to teabags after experiencing true tea.

I drink tea from a cup. The bag is a vehicle and a handy filter. Sometimes I buy rare or exotic teas and use a stainless steel "tea-ball". I think anyone who enjoys tea would drink it regardless of the delivery system. The bag was invented to make it more convenient and easy to brew but is not needed for the enjoyment of the product if a person was willing to do a little work.

Loose tea is usually of a higher quality, but it must be used and kept in a cool dry place. There are tea bag teas nowadays which are of a high quality(ie. Twinings, Dilmah and Tetley) Tetley and Twinings have a Russian and lady earl grey that are simply lovely. The Russian earl grey has bergamot flowers dotted thru it. I think it is better to search for a good tea(loose or tea bag). And boil your water hot and allow the tea to steep for at least 3 to 5 minutes. The average person today, dips the bag 3 or 4 times and considers the colour instead of the flavor. This not only spoils the good flavor of the tea but ruins the tea leaves in the bag by reusing. A bag should never be reused. Good luck at finding a good tea.

Do you mean a tea bag?
Tea bag tea is really awful. It is like drinking instant or filter coffee compared to percolator coffee.
I only ever drink black/green/herbal teas that are loose in the pots. Better flavour and taste.

Bag? One tea spoon per person and one for the pot. Boiling water (big bubbles) on tea leaves. Let brew for five minutes then pour through a strainer. It's the only way to get a real cuppa.
