I have 3 rabbits, 2 Harlequins and a rabbit that we dont know his breed. The 2 Harlequins are does, and the brown rabbit is a buck. When I got them about 2 months back, they only ate a half a can(Size of a reg. corn can) of food and it would last them all day and night. Strangly Orihime(One of the does) has begun finishing all of that before i return home from school while Marguerit(Other doe) still eats the same amount. The buck is my sisters and he stll eats the amount she gives him. They all live in one big outside hutch that is seperated into 3 parts, and they each have their own that they cant get out of. She cant be pregnant, as she hasnt been in any contact with the buck since 5-6 weeks ago when she found an escape route to his hutch. Unless they where together again when I nor my mum knew. Why do you think she is eating so much now?

If she was of breeding age when she got into the male's cage, she's pregnant.

Ever heard "breeding like rabbits", well, where do you think it came from?

They are only pregnant for 30 days, so if it were really 5 or 6 weeks ago, she can't still be pregnant from that time. There are several reasons why she could be eating more. To know more,,,you would need to know if she's gaining weight from it or not. I would suggest starting to weigh her every day for a week. If she is eating more, but not gaining weight,,I would suspect worms or an internal problem. If she's gaining weight to match her extra eating, just cut her back to normal.
From the way you worded the question, I wonder if you think there is a possibility she's been in with the male without your knowledge. If it is at all possible, this would explain the weight gain,,,and you would need to put a nest box in with her, with straw to build a nest with in case she does have babies.

Maybe little rabbits on the way. Gestation is about 25-35 days. You will know for sure if she starts pulling fur from the underside area, about 5 days before birth. Babies are pink (no fur)when born.
Be sure rabbits are protected on the sides of the hutch from wind and rain.
A thick sheet of plastic or tarp will do. Remove on nice days.
Rabbits do not overeat. Make sure plenty of feed and fresh water available 24/7.

Caged rabbits have a tendency to over eat. Some are worse for it than others. I give my rabbits their normal amount of rabbit food, but I also buy mixed grass hay (I pay $4-7 for a big square bale), and I give them all the hay they want. My 12 rabbits use about 2 bales per month, and that includes what they use as bedding/nest material.

animals are very good at breeding thru wire cages. my girl dog got pregnant by a male dog by mating thru the fence!

anyways, be careful not to overfeed her. it can clog up her stomach and kill her very quicly.
