For me, I may have something on my mind, but in some of these cases, I have to wait until exactly the right time to say it. I also want to wait until I garter enough points. Also, where timing is concerned, I want to answer enough questions for the points I'm poised to spend. I don't like to spend the ten points plus possible thumbs up I just received for Best Answer. If I suddenly get a Best Answer alert during this process, I have to keep answering questions for the points to spend. Once I'm sure I have enough, then I ask my question.

I don't ask too many questions, but when I do, I try to ask the question using minimal info on the original post, but lots of detail in the additional information.
I don't understand why some people ask a question without giving any detail that might have a large bearing on them getting an answer.

Usually daytime TV, like Jerry Springer or Dr Phil and then I twist the thoughts a little and ask my question.

to leave the person with a lasting impression on how they had to think upon the answer. And in so doing they would be the next in line to ask tha same question to others.

I think of a hilarious scenario, strip it down to a premise, then I solicit other users to elaborate on it from their perspective.
or...
I photoshop a funny picture and ask other users for a caption or if they think my friend is hot.
