i was just wondering if any body knows any cheap but reliable skipping ropes sold around the area of Hamilton, Ontario. I checked Sport Chek, Walmart, Zellers, and thats about it. Any where else i can buy?

Oh and please don't say the internet cause they take too slow to ship over here.

Ok so check this out. I was in the same place as you 2 years ago. here are some tips Make sure your jumping rope on a supported area(gym mat or atleast not concrete because jumping rope on concrete wears your joins out 10X times than a supported platform will) Take your time and stay loose and relaxed Dont get frustrated or panic if you screw up Breath nice and easy as you progress through your rope workout if it helps you, turn on some music that you like or gets your energy going The tricks(double unders, cross, helicopter and others) will come naturally as you progress Let me know if theres anything else you want to know

Go to any home improvement store or hardware store - you can wear gloves if you can't find a piece of wood for the handle. Usually there are plenty of ropes and cords to choose from and they have handles for other things in the hardware area that you can thread the rope through and knot it or just wear gloves to prevent chafing where the rope swivels against your hand. Nothing could be cheaper!

k if you cant find a skipping rope around Hamilton then it's hopeless for me... I live 500 miles north of Winnipeg in Manitoba and your question keeps coming up in my google results because I want to buy one too. I say suck it up and order online.... if you had done that when you posted the question you'd already have it.

There should be some sporting goods store. If nothing else try the gyms to see if they sell items. Some do.
