I thought those numbers were more like 10% of the population had 80% of the wealth?

am pretty sure thats what I have read - somewhere.

According to the report, published by the World Institute for Development Economics Research (WIDER) and based on data from 2000, the top one percent of the world’s adult population (about 37 million people) owns 40 percent of the world’s wealth, while the top two percent owns over half and the top 10 percent owns 85 percent. Wealth is defined as physical and financial assets minus liabilities.

Well I wasn't too far off. GT was way off.

The Law of Attraction is only part of it.

You can open yourself up to money, wealth, etc - but hard work is still required.

As for the 1% - I only hope for them that they are finding ways to be charitable. Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey - they are content because they give it away. Charity (in the positive sense) brings true fulfillment.

Wouldn't it be great if everyone's work was considered of equal worth? Why does the CEO of Wal-Mart earn an associate's salary in the first half of January 1st. He does half a day's work and earns the same as someone in his store working for an entire year.

But too much depends on consumerism. Why do people want money? More often than not, they want to buy something. They think their life will be better if they just have that thing they desire.

But consumerism and the desire to acquire is destroying our planet and our souls. We are focused on the wrong things in life. We are so focused on growing our economy, growing our bank accounts and growing our net worth that we are growing pollution and our waist lines.

So attract all the wealth you want - but know that illness, poverty, addiction and crime will also grow. We need to take care of what we have (and those around us who need help) not be focused on what we don't have.

Hard to believe Thanksgiving was just two weeks ago.
