About 3 weeks ago I bought a 3 year service plan for my computer from compusa. After watching the news today, they said compusa would be closing after the holidays. What's going to happen to my service plan? Was it a waste of $300 or will it be transferred?

I had the same problem, and I went to the store today. Go to the store. If your service plan is returned withing the first 30 days, a refund will be issued at the store where you purchased the service plan. For more information, call TAP (compusa warranty):

Considering CompUSA has no information about this on their website, you should call their customer service line

http://www.compusa.com/help/default.asp

to see if they have any information about the subject - don't assume anything just yet.
