From current NHL rosters, pick 3 forwards, 2 defensmen, and 1 goalie who you consider to be the biggest 'jerks': less than likeable, dirty, cheapshot, or unsportsmanlike. Have fun...but don't just pick players from one team you dont like.
I'm new - forgive me if this has been asked already.
At the end of the year we could vote on our 'All Jerk' team and send them trophies. ;)

Here's mine by the way...feel free to disagree:
F - Neil, Avery, Tootoo
D - Pronger, Witt
G - Emery (kinda)
Coach - Keenan
You guys are right, there aren't many Goalies who are real jerks today. Not like 'back in the day' when Hextall, Barasso, Roy, Smith, etc. were all complete jacka**es.

Great question!
G- Jose Theodore (has been robbing both the Canadiens and Avalanche blind for almost five years; cheated the fans out of anything resembling inspired play)
D- Chris Pronger (an All-Star of a goon/cheat shot artist)
D- Mattias Ohlund (took out Mikko Koivu with a cheap shot a few weeks ago)
LW- Chris Simon (noted headhunter, cheap shot artist, and racist)
C- Mike Comrie (beats out Sean Avery by holding out for more money while with the Edmonton Oilers, despite the fact that he is the heir to one of the richest men in Edmonton!)
RW- Darcy Tucker (also noted cheap shot artist, gutless troll, and loathed by many outside Toronto for his chippy play)
Coach- Mike Keenan (ran Brett Hull out of St. Louis, Trevor Linden out of Vancouver, Roberto Luongo out of Florida, Mike Gartner out of New York, Steve Larmer out of Chicago, and has made many an enemy throughout hockey circles); just edges Marc Crawford!

Forwards: Bertuzzi #1 far and away, anyone that's spent more than 5 seconds with him will agree there. Lindros has retired now so as has Hull so Bert's now followed by Avery and Tucker I suppose, but you can be sure Tucker would cry until one said otherwise.
Defence: Hatcher by far in first spot. Niedermayer feeling he's too good to be bothered playing the first half of the season while letting the Ducks dangle on etc racks up the points to take the second slot.
Goalie: Hasek likely has to walk away with that one in a landslide as well. He's a knob.
Coach: no contest Lindy Ruff with no one even on the radar for second place to this piece of work.

I'd have to go with the Yankees for a sweep of 25 jerks. It's not so much the individual players as the general malaise, the cloud of overwhelming arrogance that comes from associating with that club. The White Sox also get an honorable mention for A.J. Pierzynski, who is one of the biggest and most obnoxious jerks in the game. Also, the Cardinals get a mention for Albert Pujols being an *anti-jerk* and helping an injured fan and his son at PNC park.

F: Sean Avery
F: Chris Neil
F: Chris Simon
D: Chris Chelios
D: Chris Pronger
G: ??? Who is a jerk goalie? I don't think there are any.
~
Bob: last time I checked Patrick Roy retired after the 02-03 season...
Snoop: Oh come on man! How can you say that? It's not like Theodore WANTS to suck. It's not his fault he's making all that money. It's not like Budaj is better than him (look at the stats). He played a great game against the Flyers last night and has been waaaaaay better than he was last season.
Joe: What do you mean? Another Chris? Isn't 3 enough?

What an awesome question!!!
F- Darcy Tucker: This 'tough' guy will never go after someone that can actually defend himself
F- Sidney Crosby: Yes he's good, but he's such a whiny baby. And a wimp!
F- Chris Kelly: He just looks like an ***
D- Chris Pronger: For his nasty elbow on Dean Mcammond in last year's playoffs, amongst many other cheap shots in his career
D- Jack Johnson: For his cheap shot on Steve Downie 2 years ago in the world juniors after the winning goal was scored

G- I don't know, Hasek?
Coach- Lindy Ruff: big baby
Assistant Coach- John Torterella: idiot

LW - Sean Avery
C - Mike Comrie
RW - Daniel Alfredsson
D - Chris Chelios
D - Chris Pronger
G - CRAIG HILLIER
(Not current... but that one's for Bob and Snoop!)
Coach - Keenan
I don't like Alfredsson. He gets away with some dirty plays. He's a jerk to the media sometimes. Plus... I just don't like some of the things he's said in the past.

Snoop - Larmer sat out the start of the 1993-94 season over a dispute with William Wirtz regarding the status of NHLPA management. Larmer was with Chicago long after Keenan was fired.
In November 1993, Chicago traded Larmer to Hartford for patrick Poulin and Eric Weinrich. Hartford than traded Larmer to New York (where Keenan was coach) so that Larmer could win a Stanley Cup.
Just a side note. Steve Larmer played his only all-star games (2 of them) while Keenan was his coach and won his only Stanley Cup with Keenan as his coach. And he lasted longer in Chicago and New York than did Keenan.
Brett Hull...............Brett Hull signed with Dallas on July 3rd 1998, 14 months after St. Louis fired Keenan.
Bob - Tibbets is a sad excuse for even a jerk. To me a jerk is somebody who does stupud harmless things to get attention. Tibbets was a problem kid who even at the NHL level didn't want to follow the advice who genuineleywanted to help him put his life back together. (He was the rapist I believe)
Snoop - I never said he wasn't an ******............I had to work with the guy for a few years! And believe me.......I wouldn't wish that on anybody.............except maybe Richard Peddie
