I have seen the movie and it does seem to have an origional story line. What is your take?

I am basing this on the actual movie and this article talking it up.

Considering all of the clips that have been shoved in people's faces, not only through movie ads but also from Seinfeld's self-promoting ads, I can't see anything original about this thing; it's another insect movie, just like "A Bug's Life" and "Antz". It truly does not look the least bit interesting to me or my friends, who make jokes about the clips. It seems to borrow/thieve bits and pieces from a dozen other movies. No, it is not original; it's filled with bulging-eyed, humanized insects, just like the aforementioned bug movies. It has the same look practically all of Pixar's stuff does: melted plastic poured over poorly drawn characters.

I'm not in a rush to see it. I'll watch it when it shows up on the movie channels~eventually. The only one I've liked so far is "Over the Hedge". The animals basically looked like the real thing or closer to it than the average Pixar "creation". The situations and dialogue were rather clever in "Over the Hedge"; but, I've heard that it's from a comic strip, so perhaps that's where the humor comes from, not Pixar writers. "Chicken Little" and most of the others are atrocities of "animation". I've disappointed with nearly every production.

Watch more films, and you'll see where situations are drawn from and changed to "fit" insects or insect/human encounters.
