as a die hard usc fan i agree usc is easily the hottest team in the nation if there were a playoff we would likely have a national championship also illinois doesnt even seserve to be in a bcs bowl the only reason they are in the rose bowl only because the rose bowl wanted a traditional pac-10 and big ten rose bowl

I have confidence they will win. I put them towards the top of my confidence list in the College Bowl Pick'em.
The only reason Illinois might have a chance is that they have been known to bring out the playbook and run trick plays as Boise State did vs. Oklahoma last season. I'm not saying they are that big of an underdog, but Illinois has a talented team.
I will say you are right though, it could be ugly.

If the Illini offense is on, then USC might have some problems versus the spread. But Illinios has to bring their A+ game and USC has to come in flat.
All things being equal though, USC should win.

The Illinis are better than everyone thinks, after all they DID beat the No. 1 team....and you guys lost to Stanford

Seeing as how the "Mighty" Trojans got beat at home by Stanford, I'd say they have a very good chance. Didn't Stanford get beat at home by Notre Dame?
