I'm guessing you're asking for easy because you don't sing well or have a limited range? You don't say if you're male or female and what your range is. You also don't say what role you hope to get or if you just want ensemble. That info would be helpful. Yes generally you go with something that would be in your range and represent the role you hope to get, but just going off easy you could try Getting To Know You, I Whistle a Happy Tune, or Hello Young Lovers from King & I but you may or may not have to transpose to whatever your key is. Try them out and see. There's also:

Consider Yourself - Oliver
Kindred Spirits - Anne of Green Gables
Brush Up Your Shakespeare - Kiss Me Kate

Both Stageagent.com & musicaltheatreaudition.com have resources where you can search for audition songs by certain criteria so you may want to check them out.

good luck,
Marianne

Firstly, don't panic. If you panic then it will go wrong, and I am sure that you are very good as you got through the audition. The songs I would recommend are: 1. SOS- Take That Progress- A very upbeat song and recent but also the words aren't too difficult 2. Haven't Met You Yet- Michael Buble Crazy Love- Again, quite recent and lively. Also, not everybody knows all of the words 3. Love Is A Hurricane- Boyzone Brother- Recentish, energetic, and unless you have the album and are a massive fan of Boyzone, won't know all of the words to it! Those are my top 3 recent and lively songs! Hope the talent contest goes well!

It's very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://biturl.im/aULgQ

Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.

Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

Guys think girls who sing rock are awesome. Sing a paramore song, like Ignorance or Misery business. When you're on stage, act like you frickin own the place. Headbang, jump around, wear skinny jeans and a slim t with the sleeves ripped off. Knock the microphone stand over and just ROCK.

Try a "patter" song, which is good for actors who may not have the most vast vocal range. You can put a lot of personality into it. Example from "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", a song called Little Known Facts.

If you want an idea, don't do an easy song. Do something that will showcase your talent. That's what they'll look for. Someone who can nail a hard to sing song
